GSE Systems to Present on Simulation for Emergency Preparedness at IAEA International Experts’ Meeting
SYKESVILLE, Md. – March 12, 2014 – Global energy services solutions provider GSE Systems, Inc. (NYSE MKT: GVP) will give a presentation titled “An Effective Implementation Platform for Severe Accident Management Guidelines” at the IAEA International Experts’ Meeting on Severe Accident Management in the Light of the Accident at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. Senior Engineer Antanas Romas and Senior Technical Fellow Dr. Zen Wang will deliver the presentation at the meeting, which takes place March 17 to 20 at IAEA Headquarters in Vienna, Austria.
Romas and Wang will explain how GSE Systems’ DesignEP™ desktop severe accident simulator platform, which utilizes the Electric Research Power Institute’s MAAP5 code*, to provide a cost effective solution to help the nuclear power industry design and evaluate emergency preparedness and response strategies, develop severe accident management guidelines and procedures, as well as perform training exercises such as perform drills and training exercises.
